In 2015, One Sparrow provided funding for 10 outdoor kitchens for 10 children’s homes at H.O.M.E. International’s new facility which was dedicated in October 2015. H.O.M.E. International’s new facility will be able to provide a safe environment, education and spiritual support for up to 100 children.
In 2016, One Sparrow donated to the H.O.M.E. International to help them pay for the remaining emergency preparedness equipment they needed to pass certification by the Guatemalan government for them to open the facility. There were also additional funds to furnish one of the counseling rooms for the children to receive grief and trauma counseling on site. H.O.M.E. received certification in late Summer 2016 and already has 10 children living at the facility.
